I cannot see a date or a mention of a date, but looking at the photograph, I would say it could be 1877 or 1878

A little info on F Streatfield.
From the Book, From Midshipman to Field Marshal by Evelyn Wood.
Streatfield did take part in the 9th Kaffir War but did not go onto the Zulu War, he explains why in his book.
