South African War - 1877-9 - Kaffir Campaign - With the forces in the Transkei, action at Neumarks. - Zulu Capmaign - actions of Nyainaka, Inyezane, occupation of Etshowe, operations on the right bank of the Umvolosi, and battle of Ulundi. Despatches, London Gazette, 26th February 1878, 5th March and 16th May 1879. Medal with Clasp.
