Hi CTSG, I dont know exactly what it is called but its kind of cardboard / foam, bought it from Hobbycraft as they had no balsa wood, which was my first choice.

Thanks for the comments chaps, I've never thought of selling them on ebay, as I dont think that what they sell for will cover the cost of the materials and however many hours it takes to make them, or even if they do, not enough to make it worthwhile! :lol!:
