Lieutenant-Colonel Cross - Zulu war in 1879 with the Mounted Infantry of the Flying Column and with the Cavalry Patrol until the capture of King Cetewayo (medal with clasp) Boer war of 1881 with the Mounted Infantry of the Natal Field Force.
