Private Henry Moses can anyone confirm. Did he escape Isandlwana

"Private Henry Moses survived Isandlwana, but wrote a farewell letter to his father and siblings on February 2, 1879, when he feared he would be killed.
It read: “Dear father and sisters, and brother, goodbye."

Cannot answer the question, not mentioned in his service papers.
Henry Moses attested 25 June 1878, at Brecon, age 19, born Pentag Pontypool 1858/59. 25/1597 to 2/24 2 Dec 1878 and to South Africa same day, arrived Natal 6 Aug 1878, to Med 12 jan 1880 arrived India 2 Sept 1880, discharged 26 june 1890 12 years. 1891, 1901 census Pentag Pontypool, married to Jane 5 children, he is a Steel Smelter. He dies June Qtr 1920 in Pontypool District.

Arrived in Natal South Africa with a draft from 25th Brigade Depot 21 Jan 1879. Posted to E Company 2/24th on 31 Jan 1879. So missed Isandlwana and defence of RD. Clasp 1879 only.
