Hi All . I think the uniforms may be post 1881 . The chap on the right with the arm badge , possibly may be a Colour Sgt's Badge or recruiting Sgt's Badge . cheers 90th.

Hi All
This is what the listing says:
TWO ORIGINAL CABINET PHOTOGRAPHS (APPROX 17CMS X 11CMS) OF A SOLDIER WEARING HIS ZULU WAR MEDAL. THE FIRST PHOTOGRAPH WAS TAKEN IN MADRAS WHEN HE WAS A CORPORAL AND THE SECOND PHOTOGRAPH IS TAKEN IN DERBY, ENGLAND WHEN HE WAS A COLOUR SERGEANT.

Hi 1879graves, The uniform on the right as 90th said depicts a colour sergeant.
I have just asked the seller if he could determine what was on the epaulettes or collar, his response is below. cheers Richie
The uniform is post 1881 and SWB appears on the epaulette of the Corporal. The South Wales Borderers at the time of the Zulu War had green facings but sometime in the 1880's they changed them to white so I would presume that this soldier served with this regiment. Hope this helps.
