Hello all

On January 22, 1879,
Chelmsford would have saved Pulleine he and his assistant, returning to Isandhlwana earlier?

Cheers

Chelmsford should never have split his force in the first place. Even if Chelmsford had arrived during the battle, I don't think it would've helped. It may have made the disaster worse.

Hi my Colonel

In fact Chelmfords should never have to leave a garrison at Isandhlwana and Durnford would have joined Chelmfords in the day with the 2nd column, is very clear in that then the Zulus were to commit no fighting that day, for reasons of superstition ...

Cheers

He was going to assist Dartnell. There was no reason for him to stay at Isandlwana. Those at Isandlwana wasn't going to be there long anyway.
