Rascal I think you may have asked this question a while ago , asking what Durnford was wearing during the invasion ? . This from the same letter to his mother which I posted about the Pioneers . '' I wonder whether you would admire my appearance for the field ? . Boots , Spurs , Dark Cord Breeches , Serge Patrol Jacket , Broad Belt over the shoulders , and one round the waist - to the former a revolver , and to the latter a Hunting Knife and Ammunition Pouch . A wide - awake soft felt hat with wide brim , one side turned up , and a crimson turban ( Puggaree ) wound round the hat - very like a strange Brigand ! ''. Cheers 90th.

hi Pascal,
You can find a sketch (picture?) of him in the "silver book" of Ian Knight.
