Something I may manufacture, your thought's please! Empty
PostSubject: Something I may manufacture, your thought's please!   Something I may manufacture, your thought's please! EmptySat Apr 06, 2013 11:39 am

Hi All,
I would like your thought's on this project to see if there may be any interest. If there is sufficient interest may get this manufactured for a limited sale in the future. At present only the head exists sculpted by my very talented friend Keith, it would be my intention to sculpt the rest and make a full figure. The head is 1/5 scale which means the figure would stand an impressive 16-17" high, without any additional base.

The pose of the figure may be similar to my avatar?

As yet until it's complete I cannot determine any costs I would need to outlay for manufacture or the cost of the final cast pieces. Again I may provide the options to be done in a kit form, come pre-painted or even as a cold cast bronze.

My reason for this would be to donate some money to Bill at the Brecon museum.

If there is no interest then I will make this as a one off for myself.

Thank's in anticipation of your replies.
cheers
Richie

Great idea. I'm guessing quite a few would be interested. But it's down to cost, like everything these days. agree

Hi John,
Thanks for chipping mate, I know exactly what you are saying. I will contact my mate who sculpts and casts and see if I can get some ball park costs for moulds etc, I will pay this out of my own pocket and then a price for the different type of casts. From there I should be able to work out some rough costs for the sales price i.e. kit form for you to assemble and paint, cold cast bronze etc.
cheers
Richie
