"Quartermaster C. A. Cox died at Netley on April 13th. His commissions bore date-as Lieutenant of Orderlies, June 9th, 1877; as Quartermaster, July 1st, 1881. He served in the China war of 1860 with the 1st Dragoon Guards, an i was at the capture of the Taku Forts and Pekin (medal with two clasps); and in the war with the Zulus in 1879 (medal with clasp). He had also the medal for long
and meritorious service".

Cox is listed in the Forsyth Roll as a Lt Of Orderlies A.H.C. As mentioned , Medal with Clasp .

A bit more on C.A. Cox .........Lt Of Orderlies Cox , C.A. Proceeded to Natal in Nov 1878 , and served with the Field Force and on the lines of communication throughout the war .
