Attested at Coventry, Warwickshire 1/3/1859. Posted to 2nd Bn 24th Foot. Private 1/3/1859. In confinement 29/4/1859 - 1/5/1859. Tried 2/5/1859; sentence remitted. Granted Good Conduct Pay at 1 penny per diem 11/4/1862. Forfeited Good Conduct Pay 14/12/1863. Good Conduct Pay at 1penny per diem restored 14/12/1864. Granted Good Conduct Pay at 2 pence per diem 4/3/1867. Re-engaged at Rangoon to complete service amounting to 21 years 26/1868. Forfeited 1 penny per diem Good Conduct Pay 12/2/1871. Good Conduct Payat 2 pence per diem restored 12/2/1872. Granted Good Conduct Pay at 3 pence per diem 12/2/1874. Granted Good Conduct Pay at 4 pence per diem 4/3/1877. South Africa Medal with clasp 1877-8-9.
