| Hi Admin . You may be correct , but I'd think Keith Smith's book '' Source documents of the zulu war '' or a name similar may already cover it ? . Also Moodies book , of which the name escapes me is compiled of source documents , I dont have the books with me so cant give the exact titles Cheers 90th |

| I am unclear if the 'despatches' are official, by combatants or by journalists or a mix of all three. me.. said a most respected fellow addict,in another place from fri oct 11th. i think i know the ' angle '! but have no previous knowledge of the author's. Gary sad but true, 2 weeks ago it was Ian's infantryman v.... and the zulu war through contemporary eyes..bob curruthers..don't ask.. cheers all xhosa |

| The review does say?
"This unique collection of original accounts will prove to be an invaluable resource for historians, students and all those interested in what was one of the most significant periods in British military history" |
