| I'm feeling a bit pleased with myself. I found today a new Smith-Dorrien account of his escape from Isandhlwana. Quite interesting and solves a puzzle or two. I'm planning to meld it with his other 5 accounts to make an article to go into Studies in the Zulu War Vol. III as I did with the Cochrane accounts. |

| It's quite short and only relates to his escape. There's nothing earth-shatteringly revelatory about the battle. It just solves one or two annoying points that are niggling only to us afficionados. So, no need for bated breath! I'll post when the volume is ready. |

| Mister Whybra Have patience.... Unfortunately, as you know, (I.E: English proverb), "la patience est une fleur qui ne pousse pas dans le jardin de tout le monde". Amitiés.

| ymob Not a French proverb I know but I like it. I don't think there's an English equivalent apart from 'Patience is a virtue'. |
