Hi Waterloo, Thanks for posting. The models are superbly made and painted, but beware of authenticity. I see this ambulance wagon is not portrayed with the correct wheels or canopy (tent). The NMP trooper in another model is shown with the incorrect uniform.

Hi barry,
Thanks for the info, the only picture of an ambulance that I have seen are the pictures posted by John Y, John posted a picture of an ambulance wagon which was drawn by Melton Prior for the Illustrated London News. To be honest I can't see a great deal of difference, except in the photo that JY posted the hoops that support the canvas appear much closer together than that which is portrayed in the model. I'm assuming that the hand drawn picture John Y posted was the correct type of ambulance wagon. Could you also elaborate on what is wrong with the wheels please, is it the size or number of spokes. Regards Waterloo

Hi Waterloo, The models are stunning, so would not let finer technical detail get too much in the way of ownership. Yes, the canopy is irregular, there are not enough frames in the tent and pull down canopy should be off the end of the main tent. The wheels should be the same size. Don't worry too much about spokes, as the wagon repairers probably did not take too much care of that sort of detail anyway. In any event, different manufacturers may have had variations in the design.
