Here is a group of South Australian Boer War veterans gathered together in the grounds of Government House to meet Lord Kitchener during his visit to Adelaide in 1910.

Who and where is the Zulu War veteran officer ? He's very well known!

Lollllll . There are probably some other AZW Veterans in that photo . Very well known ? , I don't remember him , must be one I missed ! . I couldn't find him in Mackinnon & Shadbolt , or Terry Sole's ' For God , Queen & Colony ' . Who did he serve with ? .

Thanks Andy , now I know why I hadn't remembered him , but seeing the old posts brings it back to me , it would've taken about a month from the UK to Durban , on a map I have it states 23 days from the UK to Cape town , another 6 from Cape town to Port Natal ( Durban ) . So therefore he wasn't at Ulundi , and was most likely in the very early stages of attempting to catch the Column .
