Yes LC does seem to change his strategy ( Daily ? ) , he certainly wanted them to offer themselves for sacrifice , well... he got what he wanted in Spades , not actually him , but the other half of his camp . After seeing the land around Isandlwana , if the zulu wanted to bypass the Column and invade Natal , they could've done so with relative ease , you could hold 50,000 people in the Buffalo River valley , no problem whatsoever , well nowadays anyway , not sure how much bush etc was in those valleys in 1879 , I doubt though it's changed that much , although the immediate vicinity of Isandlwana has most certainly changed . LC was in a hurry to get at the Zulu , no doubt about that .
