PostSubject: Re: Legacy volumes 3-6   Legacy volumes 3-6 EmptySat Apr 03, 2010 8:21 pm

It’s not just about the Battle of Rorkes Drift. It’s about the lives of some of the defenders. Before they joined the army. During their service and what happen to them after army life. You will be amazed (For instance one of them won a lottery and another took a steam train to get his family to safety. Seriously Joe buy them.

PS. Drop Admin a P.M he will tell your all about them. Idea

PostSubject: Re: Legacy volumes 3-6   Legacy volumes 3-6 EmptySat Apr 03, 2010 8:37 pm

Hi Joe.
The information contained it the Legacy volumes cannot be found in any other book relating to the Zulu War. One thing I would like to make clear the book based on Genealogy. Kris Wheatley the author spends hours going though hundreds of records to bring us information about the lives of the defenders at Rorkes Drift.
Littlehand as already stated it’s about their lives not just the Battle of Rorkes Drift. You may also like to know that the proceeds from theses book go to the Regimental Museum the authors get nothing in return for her hard work. I cannot recommend these books highly enough; they would be an excellent addition to your collection.
Once you start reading, you won’t be able to stop.

hi David68.
I certainly agree , I am lucky enough to have the series , the amount of time and effort spent in researching the troops
and their families to me is mind boggling, I honestly couldnt begin to start anything of that magnitude as I am sure there
would be many dead ends and it would be so damn frustrating ! Suspect If anyone is thinking of buying , then do so
as you shouldnt ( won"t ) be disappointed .
cheers 90th.
