I searched the Censuses and Birth/Marriage Registries for this man.  There is no record of him in the 1911 Census - though there was a Lewis Lewis aged 33 in Pontlottyn in 1911, married in 1898, with a young family - and no record in the 1901 Census - though there was a 67 year old Lewis Lewis there with a wife Jennet but his details didn't fit the newspaper article's remarks.  There was no record of a marriage between a Bond and a Lewis from 1898 onwards in Glams and no suitable birth of a Lewis Lewis at a fitting date/place.
Lewis Walter Mitty Lewis?
Curious.

I haven't given up completely. There's the 1921 Census. I'll revert if necessary!
