Private 25B/1059 Charles Jones 2/24th Regiment IMI

There is also a C Jones in the 2/24th and a Charles Jones 25B/141 in the 1/24.
However with the Pontypool link this is more than likely to be 1059 B Company who served in the Imperial Mounted Infnatry.

Yes, that's him 25B/1059. Appointed Lance-Corporal date unknown.

Yes, thanks, very useful. In truth, I have difficulty in keeping up with the volume of posts you are making!!! I am starting to go through David Jackson's papers whilst trying to get on with the essays for Studies in the ZW vol. VI, whilst doing other research. I shall have to hire an assistant at this rate!

Yes 605 posts in a month is quite a lot but I do find reading the articles fascinating.

I suppose I best ease off now though as I don't think the Admin team are too pleased with the number of posts.
Apart from an instructional e-mail a few weeks ago I have heard nothing from them and every minute keep expecting a pm telling me to stop. Hopefully what I have posted up will help others in the future.
