| Hi All Robert Mcmahon attested 13 July 1877 age 15, born 13/14 July 1862/63 various records give Fort Beaufort, Kingwilliamstown, and Grahamstown, his father Richard was a Soldier. To 80th No.1159, papers state Lad 14 July 1877 attained age 17, 14 July 1879. In KWTown july 77, natal 19 Aug 77, pretoria 27 Aug 78, In S Africa until 11 may 1880 SA Medal Clasp 1878. served 2nd Boer War, Medal with clasp Cape Colony, LSGC medal. Discharged 4 Sept 1908 at Lichfield 31 Yrs, intended residence 6 Brigely Rd Hednesford. April 1901 census Talavera Barracks Aldershot, 1911 census station Road Hednesford Army Pen. He was buried in St Peter's Churchyard Hednesford in 1938. Rai Keynshamlighthorse. |
