| Kenny,
In answer to your question of 1st September. I would venture the late A. B.-J.

| John,
An inspired choice. However, I was thinking of someone else.
I will make easier - her husband should have been awarded a VC, but no posthumous awards in 1879. She made the long trip to her husband's grave. Family history was made when her son was awarded the VC in WW1.

| Kenny,
I would venture a name that appears in “The Scottish Play” in that case.
Is the phrase Tally-Ho! associated with his son?

| John,
I am unable to decipher the links you suggest. The only link I have is with Eugenie. And the lady in question lived at St Briavel's Castle. |

| Kenny,
Come now, in the words of the song Brush up your Shakespeare surely you must recall the fate of The Thane of Cawdor?
John Vaughan Campbell V.C. according to press reports blew a hunting horn and gave the cry “Tally-Ho!” during the action at Ginchy, France on 15th September 1916.

| John,
Thank you for your wisdom.
Did you know the grandson was killed in the retreat to Dunkirk - a truly 'Nulli Secundus' family? |
