I know this says he received the Egyptian Star for the Zulu War which doesn't make sense but I wonder if he did serve in the AZW and the journalist has got things mixed up?
One for Tom I think

Kate,

Private John Wallbutton, #24 Company, Royal Marine Light Infantry, Plymouth Division was picked to serve in the Royal Marine Battalion for service in South Africa during the Zulu War.  He was assigned to the 6th Company of the Battalion which departed Plymouth aboard HMS Jumna.  The battalion was halted at Simon's Bay, South Africa and did not participate in the Zulu War.

The article left out the Egypt Campaign in which he did serve and for which he was entitled to the Egypt Medal and Khedive's Star.
