| Hi All,
Charles Albert Baskett enlisted 3 Feb 1865, aged 20, born 1845 Torquay, to 94th No.1112, transferred 2/21st 1 Sept 1867, No.2242, arrived South Africa 22 Feb 1879, Natal 30 Feb 1879, in Hospital Pretoria 8 Jan 1880, arrived India 26 Jan 1882. Served Zulu, Sekukuni, 1st Boer, Married Catherine Henderson 21 Nov 1874 at St Peter's Farnborough, Hampshire.
1901 Census Bournemouth, M.Catherine, 3 Children, he is Pier Master and Army Pensioner. His Probate address 137 Sabell Road, Smethwick, Staffordshire, died 30 Oct 1918, to widow Catherine.
The death was registered Dec Qtr 1918, Kings Norton District, Worcestshire. Smethwick is on the Border of the two counties.
