No exact matches five J. Days survived the campaign, two of those were "Jolly Jack Tars".

Wasn't he the bloke ran away when the late King and party arrived...

Hi All,
John Henry Day b.1851 Hillington Norfolk, the 1901 and 1911 census give him as a Widow and messenger House of Commons with 3 children, living in Paddington London.
I cannot find any military records?? I found two burials but neither give a age.
John H. Day of Brondesbury dies may 1920, Kensel Green Cem No.41591. [This would be my choice]
John H. Day of Holborn d.2 Nov 1940 Islington Finchly Cem K.123090 unmarked common grave.
