Hi Joe. No disrespect to yourself. But I find any martial that’s mocks the work of Soldiers at work, very distasteful especially this Monty Python rubbish. Like I said no disrespect to you, just letting you know how I feel.

I served 25 years in the British Army and found it very funny, l find it hard to believe that anybody who knows
anything about the military sense of humour would not have a good laugh watching this

Sorry to be the odd man out, love the monty python sketch. Also loved the life of Brian, hasnt changed my religious views. Spent years on active service, squaddies take the mickey out of them selves a lot more than John Cleese has done.
Your being overly serious guys.

I think some of you are missing the point! The sketch is relating to the Battle Of Isandlwana. Where Hundreds of men lost their lives because of the irresponsible officers in command. I can’t see anything funny about mocking Brave soldiers that died fighting fro their country. So what’s next a Monty Python sketch about a Battle in Afghanistan where our brave soldiers were killed.

Not sure on how many of you, have actually seen young dead soldiers or some times what’s left of them. I have see to many, nearly been one myself on several occasions.

I had never seen that Monty Python Sketch before but must agree with CTSG it was very distasteful even though is based on an event that took place over 100 years ago.

But that’s my opinion. But I’m ok with other opinions as well.
