"Lieutenant -Colonel Falvey-Zulu war in I879, and subsequent operations against Sekukuni in medical charge of a section of movable field hospital 'medal with clasp): Boerwarof i881 in medical charge of the garrison at Lydenburg during the investment of that place (mentioned in despatches); Egyptian war of 1882 as Assistant Medical Officer Base and Lines of Communication and Medical Superintendent of the transport of the sick and wounded (medal, and Kliedive's star); Nile expedition in I884-85 as Surgeon to the Heavy Camel Regiment, and present at the action of Abu Klea; established the hospital at Abu Klea Wells, where he acted as Senior Medical Officer (two clasps). Lieutenant-Colonel Cross-Zulu war in 1879 with the Mounted Infantry of the Flying Column and with the Cavalry Patrol until the capture of King Cetewayo (medal with clasp: Boer war of I881 with the Mounted Infantry of the Natal Field Force. Lieutenant-Colonel Seymour -Soudan campaign in i885 (medal with clasp, and Khedive's star); Soudan Frontier Field Force in i885-86. Including the engagement at Giniss"

J.J.Falvey is listed as Surgeon during the AZW . I assume your Lt - Col Cross is , H.R.O. Cross , listed as Surgeon During the AZW .
