A CONVALESCENT HOSPITAL IN NATAL "This picturesque building which is situated at Pinetown, Natal, is the propertyof Colonel Harford, of the 99th Regiment, but whom it was kindly lent to the Government for the use of convalescent officers during the late war in Zululand. Our engraving is from a sketch by Captain W. Prevost, 91st Highlands, who himself passed nearly a month there while recovering from enteric fever and jaundice contracted on the plains between the rivers Emlalazi and Umlatooze, abreast of Port Durnford, and who states that many other officers were in like manner, at various times, inmates of the temporary hospital established there". |

| Andy,
Excellent documentation and an interesting newspaper comment.
The Hong Kong archives are available online, I wonder if there are any comments there.
