| Hi All Well we all know that there was no VC winner with the Surname Terry in the Zulu War. The question now is what surname was his grandfathers? It makes me mad that all the newspapers have reported John Terry's death and all have used the quote "His grandfather won the VC for bravery in the Zulu War" but none of them have checked what they are reporting. If they had, they would have named his grandfarther. |

| hi all. Can we rule out MELVILL and COGHILL?. Not sure if they had children , Coghill was married ( katherine ) no mention of children , just found that MELVILL also was married and had two sons . so maybe 23 may go to 22 :lol!: This will be a hard ask. I"m with 1879graves why the HELL didnt the newspaper give the grandfather"s name cheers 90th. |

| Hi your missing the point here mr Terry's grandfather was a zulu war VC, you are not looking for a son but a daughter of a Zulu war VC., remember the name change. |

| Mr Terry,s Grand-father would have been, his Mothers Father, or his Father'sn father.
So we should be also looking and the Mother's maiden name. |
