Hi all,

I've just started a new project using 6mm baccus figures, I'm planning on painting up 1000 British and auxilliaries and 5000 zulus.

Here's the start, the bases aren't finished but I thought I'd share them as they are so far.

Zulu witchdoctor, induna and prince

I plan on doing 10 zulu regiments at between 300 and 1000 figures each, the bases are of 12 figures, each representing a 1/4 company.
For the British, the bases contain 7 men and 1 officer, each representing a section.

I cannot recommend Baccus 6mm figures highly enough, the detail is amazing even though 2 figures stood one on top of the other are only as high as a one pence piece.

Cheers

Matt

Hi Matthew

Very well done, it must take hours to paint such tiny figures, and you must have very good eyesight.

I suppose that I could have done something like this many years ago (I used to make model railway items and model aircraft), but I think that I would need a good set of lenses nowadays to magnify such small figures, the eyes are not what they used to be.

Good luck with the project, it will be interesting to see how it progresses.

Regards, Martin.
