| The battle of Isandlwana is called that because it happen within the immediate area of Isandlwana. So in geographical terms when would it not be considered the Battle of Isandlwana.
For instance, if a soldier was wounded at Isandlwana, but made it to Rorkes Drift and died of his wounds some 6 hours later during the Battle of Rorkes Drift. Would he have been recorded as casualty of Isandlwana or Rorkes Drift. |

| I should imagine something like this “Died at Rorke’s Drift from wounds received at Isandlwana. |

| Littlehand. I guest that pretty much sums it up.
Old H, I’m not sure what you mean geographical. Can you elaborate?

| John I'm not sure why you have published these lists. Interesting though they are per se, they can be very misleading in terms of who they exclude and include incorrectly. I don't quite see the connection to old historian's post. |

| Two cases of mistaken identity. E. Lewis for J. Lewis kia and two soldiers both Wm. Rees, one kia one out with Chelmsford. |
