| Boulderson, Samuel son of S. M. Botilderson, Esq., of Inverawe, Barran, N.B. Left 1856 1 . Lieut.-Col. R.A. ; served in the Indian Mutiny and with 17th Lancers in Zulu War, 1878-9 (present at Ulundi ; mentioned in despatches ; medal with clasp). DIED 1893. |

| Last nights Antiques Roadshow on UK BBC featured some memorabilia belonging to Lt Col Samuel Boulderson who led the charge of 17th Lancers at Ulundi. That's his saddle cloth. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Steve |

| Colonel S. Boulderson served during the Indian mutiny with the Artillery at Peshawur in 1857, and in 1858-59 with Lind's Mooltanee Horse; this Regiment was part of the force under Brigadier General Troup which advanced into Oude from Shahjehanpore. Served with the 17th Lancers in the Zulu war of 1879, and was present in tha engagement at Ulundi (mentioned in despatches. Brevet of Lt.Colonel, Medal with Clasp). |

| S.Boulderson was a Bvt Lt Col in the 17th Lcrs during the AZW . Serving with the Regt throughout it's operations in the campaign , and as mentioned earlier was at Ulundi and MID . 90th |
