Last weekend, I visited Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift again with my 9 year old son. Walking across the veld and amongst the cairns and memorials I was reminded again how lucky and privileged I am to stay in KwaZulu-Natal and be able to enjoy and appreciate these amazing locations that are so rich with history both for locals and overseas folks. I always find these battlefields so moving and being on that very ground - makes the whole experience utterly amazing to a point that I simply can't find the words....
