The same photo of the 3 Scott brothers appears on the Maritzburg College War Graves Commission webpage along with a piece about Lt Scott and a number of other of their old boys killed at Isandlwana.

In the photograph, the one seated on the left with the slung carbine and wearing Sergeant’s chevrons is Sergeant-Major Dan Scott. Standing in the centre wearing the white braided Trumpeter’s tunic is Trumpeter C. Scott and on the right with a sword and sabretache is Lieutenant Frederick John Durrant Scott.

| By the way see the post by Phill (a different one) on 12.3.11 here titled ‘the Scotts of the Natal Carbineers’. It gives Trumpeter Scott’s full name as Clifford Walmsley Barlee Scott.
