Hi All,
John Crees [crees on all records] enlisted 29 Nov 1870 age 18, born 1852 Burton or Curton Denham, Sherborne Dorset, to Royal Artillery, transferred ASC 19 Sept 1875 No.1217, to Natal 2 june 1879 to 27 Jan 1882, served Zulu,Egypt and Sudan 1885, papers do not mention 1st Boer War, but he was in S Africa at the time, discharged 29 Nov 1891 21 yrs, Married Mary Elizabeth Muscutt St Peters Coventry 26 Dec 1873 5 children. 1891 census Colewort Barracks, Portsmouth, Staff Sgt ASC, with Mary and kids,
1911 and 1921 Census Padiham Burnley, with Mary and Children he is a Saddler.
