I'll go with the father being J Seal from the 1/13th , the father is listed as the Late Joseph Seal in the top article Salute

Hi All 

I notice in the second article the father's name is referred to as Joseph W Seal and that he and his wife ran a sailors home. Could it be that he was Naval, Marine perhaps?
