With reference to the Rifles take at Isandlwana, were they all recovered? Or is it possible that the Zulu’s buried, or hid some of the them in caves (ect), and never had the chance to recovered them. I mean they took a lot of Rifles on that day. And what a find that would be.

Hi John. The British army recovered nearly 450 guns from the Zulus after the Battle of Gingindlovu but only five of these were Martini-Henrys (presumably captured at Isandlwana)
