Didn't the DCO 17th Lrs name/engrave their medals in their own unique way? I wonder if anyone got a photo?

Some collectors claim there is an '1880' bar that was awarded with this medal. An unofficial bar 'ULUNDI' exist with the 1879 date being erased and ULUNDI then engraved on medals awarded to members of the 17th Lancers.

Is there 1880 Bar ??

Hi John.
Cant say I've heard of an 1880 Bar . The war was over in 1879 ! . Never seen one and certainly wouldnt be buying a medal
that had one . I have a 17th Lancer Medal and it is the 1879 Bar . There is no mention of 1880 Bars or Ulundi Clasps in the
Medal Yearbooks that I have .
