Ashley Goatham is my great great great grandfather as my great grandmother is Ada Spocter who is now 100 I am being completely honest and if you need proof just ask for details. Anyway i am looking t recover anything that he owned or owns and I would like any information anyone could get on ths topic as I would like my nanny to have a look at them before she passes. The last name has since changed. For those who don't know Ashely Goatham was in the 1/24th and in the battle of Isandlwana he was KIA anything of his possesions I must recover for my nanny or just for the sake of keeping them in the family.
Hi Thomas. I'm sure some of his letters are reproduced in one of the ' The Anglo Zulu War Historical Society Journal ' . I'm not home , so cant tell you which edition they are in. 90th.

Ashley Goatham's letters are in the 8th Edition of ' The Journal Of The Anglo Zulu War Historical Society ' page 26 - 31 Edited by Helen Allinson . 90th.

Here is a copy of the journal where Ashley Goatham's letters appear , its expensive at 14.60 GBP'S , can be found on ebay know and again for 3 quid ! . Dave's post has two threads , the second one may in fact show the letters that are in the AZW journal , as it's Edited by the same person , Helen Allinson.
