Nice ready made collection of CDVs to the 80th but it's going to cost about £1,500. Is that the going rate?

I discussed this with the seller on the previous auction. Apparently Chinese photographers, rather European photographers based in China/Hong Kong have sparked an interest with the Chinese collectors.

The seller has based his prices it would appear on the results of the previous auction.

I just wish I knew who the officer is.

That explains it, if more were named it might just be worth it but still pretty steep. Some nice medals on display as well - mainly Burma and the Mutiny?

Agreed mate , if they were identified they'd be much more expensive , cdv's are quite expensive if the individual is known , or named . Some excellent pics .
