Hi All
Daniel William Whitehead, born abt 1854/55 baptised 9 sept 1855 St Martin of Tours Chelsfield Kent.
He also died and was buried in Chelsfield march Qtr 1935. Ne married Myra Harrison Kennard also in Chelsfield. Can't find any military , only a Daniel Whitehead born 1857 India this man was attested into the 3/60 transferred to 1/24 in may 1879 but did not go to South Africa with either regiment, and he was not sick at the time all i can say he must have been a very good clerk???

No AZW service as far as I can see. Whitehead, D S - SWB/1133. Awarded LS&GC medal as Sgt 1 Bn SWB 1.10.1890 - which would qualify him as an In-Pensioner at Chelsea. Born Dum Dum. Enlisted age 15 on 22.7.1872.
