Hi All,
James Gourlay No.C/1958 Commissariat Dept, Zulu War, born circa 1861, 1891 census address Hougham Dover, 1901 census address Harrow Rd Aldershot, m to Mary Jane b.1862 India, 4 kids. He died 1 March 1945 aged 85 he is buried with his wife Mary J who died 29 Dec 1940, and are buried in St Leonard's Churchyard Heston Middlesex [Northern Border Sec I Row Q grave No.3].

Hi Again,
While doing the above i also picked up James Gourlay born Dalkieth Edinburgh circa 1858. He enlisted 1 June 1876 58/758 91st Regt, ex Edinburgh Cty Militia, to S Africa on the Pretoria 19 Feb 1879 to Mauritius 8 Oct 1879, to S Africa 27 May 1881,to UK, to Egypt 19 Aug 1882, to UK, discharged 22 June 1888 12 yrs at Inverness. Became a Police Constable with his younger brother William. 1891 census Constables in Manchester. 1911 Census Rtd Police Sgt married to Alice with 2 kids and a stepdaughter, address Rusholme Manchester. He died 26 Jan 1924 and is buried with his wife in the Southern Cemetery Chorlton-Cum-Hardy Manchester in C of E grave 687.
