Served with 90th Light Infantry, Defence of Alumbagh, Relief of Lucknow, and subsequent campaigns of 1858-1859, Kaffir War 1878, Zulu War 1879 (Ulundi); has two medals and three clasps. Born 1832, the second son of the late George Henry Cherry, Esquire.

I have done alot of research on this chap as his surname was Cherry and was changed to Cherry-Garrard later in his life. I will post photographs of him, his family and his grave when I have more time.
90th would understand why :lol!:

Hi All, Apsley Cherry-Garrard is mentioned on his son's grave [the polar explorer as above and a member of Scotts expedition] who is buried at St Helen's Churchyard Wheathampstead Hertfordshire. When the KLH visited we could not get into the church. His son's grave is on the Findagrave website. Rai KLH
