Coloninal Regiment Insignia

Taking into account Littlehands post. I'm thinking it might be worth while posting the insignia of the colonial regiments,we have the NMP but what about the others could be a worth while project. Just a thought.

Good idea 24th. They must have had them. I wonder who designed the Colonial insignia's

Osprey Publishing has released a book titled ' Zulu War - Volunteers , Irregulars & Auxiliaries ' by Ian Castle and Illustrated by
Raffaele Ruggeri , which has pictures showing the more common Colonial Insignia & Uniforms . It's easy to come by on ebay but many times the price is way to high , you can source it cheaper by scouring the internet book sites .

If you take off the crown and the curly end of the 'N', it looks a good match for the badge on the helmet that the soldier in the picture is wearing. So it just might be a 'cast off' helmet with a broken badge.
