Hello I am new to this forum and keen to learn more. I have picked up a few medal South Africa medals along the way and am looking for help on one specific medal.

It is to Tpr W. H. Hutton 1st Cape Yeomanry and comes with no date clasp. I have tried looking on Ancestry at the medal roll for 1st Cape Yeomanry but page 248 of teh roll is missing and is where I believe he would be listed. I can the see the vast majority of recipients have the clasp 1879 but was hoping a member could confirm his entitlement please?

No really my field as the actions against Morosi aren't anything to do with the Zulu War, but consulting the roll that I have shows that Trooper W. H. Hutton, of the 1st Cape Mounted Yeomanry was entitled the clasp 1879.
