"Major Charles Molyneux Hutton, P.S.C., died at Abertafol, Aberdovey, on January 16, 1930. Born on 23 January 1854, he joined the 52nd on 24 September 1873, and was promoted Captain 15 November 1883. He continued to serve with the 52nd until he was promoted Major into the Lancashire Fusiliers, 26 July 1892. He retired from the service 23 January 1902. Major Hutton was employed on Special Service in Natal, 1879, and served as Brigade-Major in Jamaica, 1885-1887, and as D.A.A.G., 1887-1890. He held the medal for the Zulu Campaign, 1879"

Lt C.M.Hutton ; Proceeded to the Cape with Drafts , and served with the Field Force in the later phases of the war , Medal with No Clasp which means he never crossed into Zululand . 90th
