Lt.Colonel M. Churchill served in the Zulu war of 1879 (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Boer war of 1881 as Deput.y Assistant Adjutant General at the defence of Pretoria (mentioned in despatches).

M.Churchill was a Capt during the AZW , he remained on detachment at Ladysmith in command of a Co from the date of departure of the regt , from that town in April till the conclusion of the war .

Hi All,
Mackenzie Churchill died on the 18 May 1934 and is buried in St Peter's Chuchyard Leckhampton Gloucestershire, he appears on the findagrave website.
