Battle of Rorke's Drift memorabilia

As always, I love finding unusual and not every day seen Zulu War memorabilia. On a recent trip to the Warriors Gate M.O.T.H Shellhole Museum in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, I was delighted to find the attached illustrated items belonging to Trooper Lugg of the Natal Mounted Police who fought with distinction at the Battle of Rorke's Drift.

Suprised they are still there, an Aussie mate of mine was threatening to 'export' those back to Victoria. Very Happy

I have it on good authority the only reason they are still there is the fact he hasn't been ' over ' since May 2019 ! hahahahahahaha

Smoko has definitely been there Lugg’s carbine & the belt with the 17th Lancers insignia appear to be missing.
