Russell was also a member of Pullein's Rangers in 1877 - 78. Will try and find some more info on him . cheers 90th .

Hi Mr.G. A little more on Sgt W Russell ............ His christian name was William , he was a Corporal in Pullein's Rangers during 77-78. He was entitled to the South Afica War Medal with the Clasp 1877-78-79 , His Medal was returned to the Woolwich Mint which means it was unclaimed . He is in the Forsyth Medal Roll and also in Terry Sole's ' For God , Queen & Colony ' . Hope this is of some help . cheers 90th. .
