A challenge for anyone interested to find out who this was.

An extract from an article entitled "Tivertonian Association"

"When Sir Redvers Buller was making history in the Zulu War he told them he found a Tivertonian man right up in the heart of that country. He had been there for 36 years, and knew the country better than any other white man, and publicly bore testimony to his services as the best guide and scout he over met."
