In a reference book, I have come across a copy of a poster advertising a talk by Archibald Forbes (dated Jan 1880) on the Zulu war as an 'eye witness in Zululand' , including an account of the finding of the body of the Prince Imperial and the battle of Ulundi. I understand he was a war correspondent with the the Daily News.

Does anyone know where he was during the AZW - was he with Chelmsford throughout the war?

Thanks CTSG. The accounts of Forbes I have read seem to relate to the latter part of the war - presumably he arrived well after the first invasion. Correspondents such as Norris Newman seem to have been there from the start.
